Buying guide

How to find the right vehicle on VORIMO and buy it with confidence.

1. Search smart

Start broad — pick a vehicle type or enter a make and model — then narrow with filters: price, year, mileage, and distance from your ZIP code. Save any search and we'll flag new matches on your dashboard.

2. Read the listing carefully

Check the VIN (ask for a vehicle history report), the mileage, the seller's description, and the photos. Listings with a stock number and a video link tend to come from organized sellers — but always verify for yourself.

3. Message the seller

Use VORIMO messages so your conversation stays attached to the listing. Ask about service history, accidents, title status, and why they're selling. You can also make an offer right from the listing — it's sent as a message, and it's never binding.

4. Inspect before you pay

See our inspection info for what to check. For anything over a few thousand dollars, a pre-purchase inspection by an independent mechanic is money well spent.

5. Pay safely

Meet in a public place, verify the title and the seller's ID match, and use a traceable payment method — a cashier's check at the seller's bank is a common choice. Never wire money to someone you haven't met, and never share financial details in messages.

6. Paperwork

You'll typically need the signed title, a bill of sale, and your state's transfer forms. Check your DMV's website for the exact requirements — they vary by state.
